Brunch time at Brasserie Max

Brunch time at Brasserie Max

Recently we have had the privilege of being guests at the Brasserie Max in the Covent Garden Hotel. This lovely hotel is situated in the heart of the theatre district and is just a short walk to the Royal Opera House, Soho and the city centre.

The entrance of the hotel made us feel really cozy and comfortable straight away. The staff is very welcoming and the elegant interior design really gives you that sense of warmth.

As it was too late for breakfast and too early for lunch, we decided to take seat in the Brasserie Max for brunch. The first thing that came to our eyes was this beautifully decorated table, rich with fruit and everything necessary for a lovely breakfast. Plus, it was all you can eat, which never really hurts.

After having tasted their delicious selection of cereals and their fresh season fruit, we decided to order our brunch dish. It was a really difficult choice, but at the end we decided to order the smoked Scottish salmon and scrambled eggs and the crab and asparagus omelette. Everything was absolutely delicious and you could really taste the quality of the products.

The main was served with a glass of Prosecco or a Bloody Mary, made in their very supplied bar.

At this point, we were well fed and happy. It was time to watch The Big Short in their own private cinema, which is included in the price. Before entering the room we found a really pleasant surprise: there was a table full of popcorn! They really do think of everything. You can’t really watch a film without it!

Our view

The Covent Garden Hotel really is in a fantastic area of London. It is surrounded by some of London’s best restaurants and bars, vibrant cafes and most exciting theatre, nightlife and shopping. Their restaurant, Brasserie Max, is a hive of activity with a menu based around fresh, seasonal products. The service is excellent and exactly what is expected from a hotel of this calibre. The staff is really professional and nice, and they look at every need a customer may have. Also, the quality/price ratio is excellent, as with 40£ per person  you have access to a lovely buffet and you are served a very well made main course. And lets not forget that you have time to digest your food while watching a top rated film in their private cinema. To conclude, if you are looking to start your day in a cozy and elegant way in the heart of London, this is definitely the right place to go.
